From time to time, I have to admit, running a radio station all my little lonesome can be quite a daunting experience, especially when there is only one of me! Between a full time day job, my own music career, and promoting artists on radio, there is little room for error on most days. This past week the good ole seasonal bug kicked my butt and I fell terribly short with the radio station. I didn't get rotations update, do the charts, or load new programming. All I have to say about it is... I am so sorry! And hopefully next week will be better.
Then of course, my dues came due... and my ac-dc adapter bottomed out and I couldn't fire up the laptop (station). So I sat here and decided that a butter knife, some electrical tape, and Wile E Coyote ingenuity may have to come into play. I managed to get it to handle power and the computer is on. However I do need to get that cord pronto! I don't know how long I will be on for!
But when I put out the call, a faithful patron of the musical arts, from New Brunswick, Canada, heeded the cry for help and made a substantial donation to keep HGB Canada on the air for the month of February. Thank you Country Music Promoter Theresa Spragg! In January we had Beverley Niven step up to the plate, a wonderful song writer from Nova Scotia! These wonderful people need to be recognized for their contributions to a very difficult but rewarding industry. If you see them through social media, make sure you give them your appreciation!
We have some very awesome well known guests coming up, and guests that will blow your socks off that you may have never heard of before. Please consider contributing financially, because you truly are helping me, spring board so many artists. Even our well known artists are dealing with great changes in the way that the industry operates today. Can we change how things are done? Of course we can! Look at how much influence the greats have had on what we know and do today! Our folk singers of yester year have paved a dirt path for us to forge ahead and do what we know is right to do, SUPPORT INDIE :)
Thank you all for your patience and please continue to tune in, listen and support in anyway you can! The artists are truly thanking you!
Independent online radio is a challenging endeavor and more so when it is a volunteer based as often times people come and go depending on their commitment to the vision. The station's home base continues to be Fredericton NB, however now we are broadcasting from the main location of Brampton ON.
Over the next couple of months Carla's Coffee House will be airing on Tuesday nights at 7PM eastern. Some of the upcoming artists that will be on the show are as follows:
Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne
We are pleased that two new shows have joined our line up from Nova Scotia. Welcome aboard to Atlantic Indie and The Wolf's Den. We continue to enjoy the Gossiping Heiffers, Mike Harding Folk Show, The Forgotten 45's,
We are still taking requests, through this page, and through Twitter. I'll be doing a request show in the near future so stay tuned for news on that.

It was a great run for Carla's Country Mile. I have decided to revamp the concept of the show into a more broad platform in order to expand our reach into other genres. There was a lot of confusion with the name of the show. Many thought it was country music only but did cover other genres of music when the opportunities had arisen. So with that, Carla's Country Mile will be retired and Carla's Coffee House will be the new name of the show.
